Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA is proud to announce the return of Yamaha of Troy and three additional Factory-supported teams for the 2006 season. The four-team powerhouse includes new faces, the all-new YZ250F and the support to capture AMA Supercross and Motocross Lites championships.
The returning Yamaha of Troy team is highlighted by the sequential YZ250Fs of Branden Jesseman #121, Matt Walker #122, Brett Metcalfe #123, and Andrew McFarlane #124.
"We are off to a great start this year," explains YOT Team Manager, Dave Osterman. "Yamaha built us a great bike and the riders have already established their race-setups and can now spend time pushing each other at Yamaha track. There's an atmosphere of confidence surrounding the team and hopefully Brett Metcalfe's win at the US OPEN was a preview of 2006."
Providing additional support to Yamaha racers, three additional teams, Motoworld Yamaha, Star Racing and CrossX will now ride under the Yamaha Factory-supported tent. "The "Lites" class racing action is so intense with factory-level talent permeating across the 22-man starting gate, our racers need the confidence that they are going to the line prepared and on the best equipment," explains Yamaha Racing Division Manager, Keith McCarty.
